RAFTING
Rafting
consists of going down a river on a boat, the raft. Rafting is a
new sport in Nepal which allows you to visit set back areas of
Nepal. One can meet varieties of landscapes and population as
you travel on the river.The nepalese rivers come from the
Tibetan plateaus to flow into the Indian rivers.
Glacier Safari Treks organise raftings on the Trisuli River, the
Sun Kosi and the Tama Kosi.

A day of Rafting:
Arrival from Kathmandu by bus .
Rafting in the morning, lunch by the river bank and then
rafting till 5 pm.
Arrival at the tent camp. Big dinner, fire camp and
possibily to swim in the river.
Equipment: light clothes, tennis shoes, marine bag or other
light bags that are transported by a bus to the camp. |
Physical
Conditions:
For all levels.
For beginners, two or three days on the Trisuli
river till the National Park of Chitwan in the
Terai region.
It is not necessary to have already done
rafting. The guide shall show you the main
maneuvres at the beginning of the ride. . |

Mugling, Jugeri, Naranghat, return to Kathmandu or you can
choose to visit the jungle of Chitwan’s National Park where
you can observe, crocodiles, rhinos, a large variety of

Meaning of the name: The Golden River
Duration: 7 days
Departure: only on reservation.
Accomodation: Unde the tent

Tamang, Gurung, Rai.

Itinary: From Kathmadu to
Dolalghat by bus, Dollghat, Tarang, Dumja,
Khumkot, Dor Chotra

the Mounts Gauri Shanker, Cho Oyu, Everest,
Maka.

Meaning of the name: The Copper River
Duration: 10 days of raft or 6 days of raft and trek.
Departure: Only on reservation.
Accomodation: Under the tent.

Itinary: From
Kthmand to Dolaghat by bus Dolalghat, Tarang,
Dumja, Khumkote, Dora and Chotra.
Landscape: Moutains, Villages
Climate: Cold at the beginning and much
warmer as you descend the river.
